The Fall 2009 creations of designer Ilana Sunderland were shown at the Milk Studios Penthouse at the start of Fashion Week. Models posed on a large, square stage dressed in exquisite onyx, midnight, and espresso floor length coats and slimming dress designs in ruby and tartan. Women's garments constructed of silk charmeuse and chiffon featured detailed pleating and asymmetrical construction, as well as zebra and leopard animal prints.
The men's collection included tuxedos, and single and double-breasted jackets with pleated lapels. Cashmere overcoats in muted tones and onyx revealed clean silhouettes created to fit all sizes and assure a slim appearance.
